Michigan Labor Day Weekend 2007...

Many of you have asked about Michigan, so I thought I would share some photos of the property. The Stone family acquired the property over several decades. It all began with Grandma John Stone. He was an electrician for the Soo Locks and fell in love with the area. He would bring his wife, Pauline and his 4 girls up for summer vacations. They started off in tents and used an outhouse. As you can tell from the below pictures, times have changed quite a bit. Everyone has invested so much time, money and energy into making this a family destination for future generations. It truly is God's country up there and we love spending quality time with everyone when we get the chance to visit. It's worth every bit of the 7 hour drive.
This is the beach front that all the properties share.

The Reussers have been busy - WHAT FUN! I hope you enjoyed your weekend in Michigan. We can't wait to see all the progress you are making on the cabin. Next summer is sure to be lots of fun! I gave Addie a big squeeze this morning ... she crawled right on over to greet me at the door at Kathy's :)
