Home For Sale... Any Takers???

13675 Alston Drive
Fishers, IN 46037 ...
is on the market and ready to move!

It's official folks, we are business owners! We have signed on all the dotted lines, set up all the bank accounts, pushed all the paperwork, finalized the house plans and purchased our land. Doug has offically become his own boss. We have dreamed and talked about this plan for close to 5 years now and it's finally a reality.

I am so proud of my husband and all of his talents. I have never seen him as happy with work, than he has been in the past 2 weeks. I am really impressed with his drive and desire to succeed.

Keep our family in your prayers as we embark on this huge endeavor. We will keep you updated as the house progresses. We are currently working on a website that we hope to have up and running later this week... stay posted!

Big Girl...

I know that I have been throwing the term "big girl" around a lot lately, but gosh darn it she's growing up so fast! I can't believe it. Just today, Kathy told me, I could take our pack-n-play home from daycare. Addie has been sleeping on a sleeping bag with the big kids... what??? Ahhh, she doesn't even need the confines of a crib anymore!?!? She's catching some zzz's with her peeps in the toddler room.

To and Fro, Stop and Go...

My kid may think she's clever and has us figured out, but I've got her number too! We start off our nightly exercises with playing at the kitchen... it's safe, just standing in place, play time with mommy. Then I start moving things farther away that we need for our "recipes." Addie has to turn and step for ingredients to continue playing. The last stage of our exercise is what you see in the video. I have her convinced that running errands between the furniture by delivering food to the basket, is the most fun a kid her age can have. No fears, no worries, just SUPER ADDIE taking steps like a big girl!!!

If you are wondering why she has no pants on, Addie tends to walk, not crawl when her knees are exposed... again, it is all part of my master Dr. Evil plan. Whah-ha-ha-ha!!!

Addie-Tude

When Addie isn't repeating EVERYTHING that we say, her favorite word is "NnnO." She even says it so much she kind of starts singing it... "No, no, no, nah, nah, no." This is just a glimpse of the "tude" we are starting to see on a regular basis.

A Little Mama Braggin'

This morning I was getting Addie dressed. She is real good about allowing me to brush her teeth before she gives it a shot. When I handed her the toothbrush she said, "pur-ble yell-wo to-brush." Sure enough folks she has a purple and yellow toothbrush!!! She has been pointing to anything that is yellow or purple and repeating the words throughout the day.

Saturday Night...

Mom got the camera out tonight... she hasn't done so in a long while. Mom and dad have been busy little bees. I know you've all missed me so here are some quick pics to satisfy your Addie Addiction!

Show some love... kiss the Care Bear

A book talk anyone? 10 Little Fish is a "must read."

I'm a nerd, just like my mom... I love puzzles!

Words and Sounds That Make Us Smile...

1. Tucker
2. Yellow Banana
3. Yellow Lemon
4. Draw, Draw, Draw
5. Juice
6. Get Down
7. Monkey... woh, woh, woh
8. Dog... arf, arf, arf
9. Lion... roar
10. Tiger... grr
11. Sheep... bah, bah
12. Bird... cheap, cheap
13. Bellybutton

These are just some of the words, sounds and actions we get from Addie on a daily basis, while reading books are playing, that make us smile. Today, Doug was chasing her and she stopped, turned around, pointed right at him and told him "No Dada!" He and I just busted out laughing, she was so cute with her determined command.

She is making great strides with her walking. We absolutely love her therapist, Carrie. She is realistic and grounded. She gives us our weekly homework and exercises to work on, and we take it all to heart. Addie is walking more and more each day. Tonight she took 6-7 steps to me with no support. It was very exciting!

Another One Bites the Dust...

How does this darn thing go... not this way!
How does it look from the back?
Grampy you are my best pal, you're so funny!
Now let me try it!
We spent Sunday with my parents. Dad hosted a Green Bay Packers game. We had a great turn out with great food! Too bad we can't say the same thing for the outcome of the game.
Sooo, 2 weeks from now, we'll be cheering on the other Manning. GO ELI, BEAT THOSE PATS!!!

State of Mourning...

It's been our 3 day grace period of mourning... it's time to wipe the last lingering tear from our checks. The mighty blue fortress has fallen. It's hard to believe the Colt's football season is over already.

There's always next year...
now those are the truest words spoken,
coming from a Chicago Cubs fan!
PS - Nana & Grampy thanks for spending the day with Addie. XOXO

Happy Birthday Bob!!!

Saturday we spent the evening with Bob, Debbie and friends as we celebrated Bob's birthday. Remember Bob, age is a state of mind... in that case you and Doug average in around 12 years old!

GO PACK!!!
Today Mommy and I are sporting our green and gold in honor of the Packers playoff game. Do you like my new Packers cheer outfit? Grampy got it for me for Christmas. He traveled to the mecca of football stadiums to witness the great #4 Bret Far-va-ra play.
* Dad is allowing this fashion statement to take place today since #18 Peyten Manning isn't playing today. Tomorrow it's back to business and Blue will be the color of choice when it comes to football attire.

Cookie Cutters...

Red Sports Car - Check!
Wiggles DVD - Check!
Balloons - Check!

Getting a big girl hair cut was great! I didn't mind it at all, not when they make the little ones feel like royalty. Mommy was a little sad to see the curls go, but there was no hiding the fact that I was sporting a mullet and the bangs needed a trim. Now, I'm just straight stylin'!

Ballerina Blues...

But I don't want my picture taken...
I said no! Get that camera away from me!
I'm telling my daddy.
I'll just throw myself on the floor. Being a bratty ballerina is exhausting!

A Bratty Child's Prayer...

Now I lay me down to sleep,
I pray the Lord my soul to keep,
If I should die before I wake,
I pray that all my toys should break.
Any helpful hints on how to teach sharing???
