My Fix...

Libby, Grandma & Mommy
Libby & Big Sister Alex

I have recently been in blog detox. I haven't been able to get my daily fix, because I have been so darn busy with the start of school. It's a relaxing Sunday morning. Mom and Dad are in town. Recap of the weekend:
Saturday Morning: I went to visit Sarah and Jason at the hospital. Miss Elizabeth Catherine Gray was born August 17th at 1:58am. She tipped the scales at 9 lbs 4oz!!! Congratulations Gray family!
Saturday Evening: Katie Kenworthy hosted a party at our house. As she coined it "I'm here to sling some clothes!" And sling she did. Addie has some pretty adorable tights and outfits coming her way! Everything was too cute and of course I wanted to purchase one of each item for my baby girl, but Doug would have none of that.
Hopefully I will get some new pictures taken today and will post them randomly throughout the week. We are off to Miss Fallyn's big 1 year birthday party this afternoon... good times!

Back to School... Boo, Hoo, Hoo

Mommy & Me
Daycare is EXHAUSTING!!!
Today, mommy had to return to her teaching job. This isn't all bad news. Sure, I'll miss our daily walks, swims and book reads, but I get to spend all day with Miss Kathy and my buddies at daycare. Mommy picked me up this afternoon and I helped her pick up some items for her classroom. After eating a real good dinner with mom and dad, I went swimming with my neighbor friends, Debbie, Cassie & Bob.

Dance, Baby Dance...

Do you see the utter delight in my smile? It is so much fun annoying mommy & daddy. I open the card and it plays music... over, and over and over. I have bounced and giggled over this card for hours now. Mom says it's pretty cheap entertainment and it's the closest thing to an IPod I can have at my age!

Auntie Gigi's Pool Party...

Miss Sophie
Dear Auntie GiGi & Grandma Deb -
Thank you so much for my birthday gifts. GiGi, I love my new Crocs, you are definitely mommy's most fashion forward friend! Grandma Deb, thanks for the money and Pooh bubbles. I loved my musical birthday card and played it all the way home, driving my mommy nuts! She took it away when I started eating it... I guess paper isn't one of the 4 basic food groups.
XOXO - Addie Leigh

Sugar High...

Yes, quickly sing the silly traditional song!
There seems to be bits of colored sugar on top.
Sampling the bits of colored sugar 1 by 1.
Get your own daddy, I'm not sharing!
I need a sippy cup of milk to wash this good stuff down...
I LOVE CUPCAKES!

The Celebration Continues Day 2...

My mommy and daddy are party animals! They threw me a second party on Sunday with all of my little peeps. A girl could get used to this royal treatment... maybe that's why they call me princess!
Bows! Bows! Bows! Forget the toys, I love the bows!
At the end of 2 days of birthday parties, I got pretty good at opening gifts. Here I have my new drum set. There's going to be lots of noisy fun going on in the Reusser household!

I Now Pronounce You...

The Birthday Princess!!!
Yeah, that's right folks, I'm pretty darn tootin' special! We started off the weekend right. My folks and family took me to Toys R Us. The Birthday Club crowned me and announced my birthday over the loud speaker. The best part was, they tied a balloon to the cart... F-U-N!!! I had well wishes throughout the store from little friends and families. This gave me a good chance to put my princess wave into practice... it's hard being a star at such a young age!

Let the Celebrations Begin...

The BIG 3-0!
GrMa Tovey, Mom, Addie, Mandy & Dad
I had a wonderful 30th birthday. My family arrived Thursday for our big weekend of birthday celebrations. Friday, Doug took me to see Bourne Ultimatum. Matt Damon, what more could a girl ask for on her birthday! (By the way, the movie is really good!) When I came home, 30 white roses were waiting for me from Jimm & Deb Nidlinger... beautiful! All of us went shopping and ate at Bravo's for dinner. Traditionally, Doug gets me a cake from Taylor's Bakery. I literally start craving it a week before my actual birthday. I am a cake junkie, I could nibble on it all day long. I figure I'm not technically eating a piece of cake a day if I'm only taking in 3-4 bites at a time... right??? I keep the left-overs in the garage refrigerator so I at least have to make a good long walk to pig out!

Our final day at Torch Lake... sniff, sniff

Bella, Emily & Addie
Emily takes her first dip in the pool... tiny tadpole.

The Warners: Scott, Claire, Amy & Emily

Thank you, thank you, thank you Hein family! Nick and Diana are both such gracious and welcoming hosts. They open up their home on the beautiful lake for all of us to enjoy. We don't want for anything and are treated like guests at a 5 star summer resort. We are so lucky to have such great friends and families in our lives. We have spent several summer vacations at Torch Lake and cherish everyday we spend there. We look forward to making many more memories as the years go by boating on the water, sitting round the camp fire and playing games at the kitchen table.

PS - Diana, thanks for the sewing lessons. I'm becoming quite the Martha Stewart don't you think? In a creative way, not a criminal way!

Torch Lake Day 3...

Amy and Doug played the first round of the "Golf Ball Game." Torch Lake is crystal clear, beau-ti-ful water, unlike the mud pits here in Indiana. We throw golf balls at a target off the dock and then swim out and snorkel for them. None too exciting, but entertaining all the same. It's a silly tradition that we will teach our kids to enjoy some day.
This picture confirms that I went tubing, willingly, I was NOT forced. Two days after the fact and I am still sore, but man was it fun! Amy and I cracked up the entire time, that is until my body was cracked in half! Dear Lord, we went 3 rounds, caught air multiple times and never fell off. Sign me up for the rodeo!
Diana pulled out a fabulous back yard pool for the kiddies to enjoy. They had so much fun splishin' and a splashin'.

Bipolar or Brat? That is the question...

Mr. Hyde: Hunh, it's time to get out?
Dr. Jekyll: But, I don't want to get out!!!

Torch Lake Day 2 Continued...

Addie's first venture with chocolate ice cream... so yummy!
But so messy!
Straight to the bath tub young lady!
