Brusha, Brusha, Brusha...

Addie has got her night-time routine down and actually really enjoys it. It usually goes... bath, lotion, pjs, brush her teeth, drink some water, comb & dry hair, say prayers and lights out. One of her favorite things is brushing her teeth... as you can see. I think her electric Hello Kitty toothbrush feels good on all those new teeth and molars popping through.

My New Hat...

Mom and I had a girls' night out. Baseball season is starting up again and Dad had a coaches' meeting to attend. We cruised the mall, ate Chick-Fil-A for dinner, played on the play ground and did some shopping. I found this head gear at the Baby GAP and HAD-TO-HAVE-IT. I literally was NOT letting my mother leave the store without it. The lady at the cash register even cut all the tags off for me, so I could wear it right away!

Junk Mail...

Mom and I like to have our afternoon snack, while previewing the latest spring fashion and home decor magazines. Fridays are her favorite when PEOPLE arrives... it's one of her little guilty pleasures!

The Children's Museum...

Monday morning we met Amber and Fallyn at the Children's Museum. We were there along with every other family with kids off on President's Day! Some real interesteing characters showed up, and it made for some great people watching while waiting in the FOREVER long lines for the exhibits. Highlights of the trip were Chihuly, Curious George and Playscapes. Addie was a wild woman, like I've never seen her before. She wanted to do everything that every other big kid was doing. There was a lot of laughing, clapping and running around... I nearly broke a sweat in the Curious George Exhibit trying to keep up with her. It was a really fun morning!

Chihuly...

View from under the display... amazing!
Ohh, so pretty!
I will take this one... and move it here.
A-R-T, yeah artwork!
Do you like my final design?
The viewing deck of the art show was full of plastic replicas of the original glass pieces. The kids could pull and place pieces of all shapes and colors, creating their own deisgn. Addie got a kick out of this and really enjoyed this time while we waited for our buddies to arrive.

Don't Call It A Comeback...

Hey folks, we're back in business! I know that I've been behind on the posts. I can truly appreciate the utter disapointment, when I click on a blog, only to find out that it hasn't been updated. I hope that you like the pictures I have posted for your viewing pleasure... ENJOY!!!

Dear Mandy Kay,

Sisters
Grand Daughters
Daughters
The next time we are all together, we will have a precious new addition to our generations picture. Until you hold Gracie in your arms, I cannot begin to explain to you, the unconditional love you will have for her. You will appreciate the love of your mother and your grandmother in a whole new light. We have been surrounded by a wonderful, loving family our entire life. Continuing this trend of friendship, fellowship and faith is the greatest gift you can give Gracie Jane. I love you so much and can't wait to see you experience all of the joy, wonder and love of motherhood!
XOXO - Angie

Mandy Kay Comes Home...

Mommy-To-Be... is she cute or what? Mandy drove home with Mindy from Savannah for a weekend full of baby showers. It was so great to be with her and love on her bump.
Lindsay flew in and spent the weekend with us at Mom and Dad's. Mom hosted a shower in Terre Haute on Saturday for all of our family and friends to attend. Kay made out like a badit! I'm pretty sure that Gracie Jane is going to be quite the Southern Bell in all her new, stylish outfits.
All of Mandy's girlfriends got together at our house on Sunday. It was so much fun to catch up with everyone and play with all the new biddy babies!
Lord help us... Mandy and Kelly are both expecting precious little girls this spring. It will be so much fun watching Gracie grow and play with all of her friends.

2 Birds With 1 Stone...

Addie stayed home yesterday with Doug. I look like complete crap, because I have yet to sleep through the night once this week. I haven't been this exhausted since Addie was 1 month old. She has had a cough that has gotten progressively worse. In fact today she only took a 15 minute afternoon nap. Doug called to make her an appointment, and the Dr. office kindly reminded us that today was her 18 month check-up... oops.

So I took her to the Dr. today and her 18 month stats look great! Addie is 26 lbs (75th %) and 32 1/2 inches long (75th %). Her nogin is measuring in the 90th %. Since her 1st birthday, she has grown 2 1/2 inches and put on ~4lbs.

Addie also has her first inner-ear infection of the year... boo! We went through several rounds of these pesky infections last winter. We have her started on antibiotics and she is out for the count tonight... zzz. Poor thing has already started getting a diaper rash from the medicine. Side-effects stink, but they are better than being sick and worn-out.

Sweet Dreams Princess...

Addie has a new Sleeping Beauty pillow from GrMa and GrPa Reusser. She also has a new Disney Princess blanket. She L-O-V-E-S this pillow and blanket. She hugs and carries them around her room before hitting the hay. Doesn't she look so precious surrounded in all of that pink... girlie x 10! And to think I wanted a boy!

Saturday Evening... A Fun Night Out

We started off the evening celebrating Tara and Andy's new arrival, Alice Catherine. Alice joined us about 1 month early, so Tara missed her original shower date. Emily threw a great party, and Alice got the hook up! Of course, I got my bitty-baby fix, so I was very pleased!

Since we were already together, we decided make the most of the evening, and headed out for dinner and a movie. We saw 27 Dresses and I loved it! We all laughed out loud throughout and it's by far Katherine Heigl's best role ever. I'm going to dare and say, she is my new Julia Roberts. Yes, 27 dresses is your typical chick-flick and very predictable, but hilarious and entertaining none-the-less. I give it 4 stars!

WWF Wrestling...

Hulk Hogan move over... there's a new Full Nelson in town!

Cho-Cho...

My new favorite toy is my train track. I will stand for great lengths of time playing with all of the fun bits and pieces. I repeat "cho-cho" over, and over and over again.

Addie's First Kiss...

It's must be that time of year, February, the month of LOVE. Addie and I were at daycare this morning when something very unexpected happened. I was taking Addie's coat, when Addie kissed another little boy, Zander, on the lips. Zander is her buddy at daycare and an absolute doll. It was so stinking cute! Her daddy wasn't too excited about the news this evening, but I think it's adorable. She is definately following in her Auntie Kay-Kay's footsteps with kissing boys at school at a young age!
