Dinner Party...

Tonight I dined-in with Addie. Doug is away for the next couple of days on his annual Nashville, TN trip with the boys. He doesn't care much for spaghetti, so we always eat it when he isn't home for dinner. In my book there is nothing better than warm spaghetti sauce on buttered bread... ahh, comfort food! Addie gets stripped down to her skimpies and utensils go by the way-side. She enjoys slurping up the ooey-gooey "snakes" and smacking her lips when she reaches the end of the noodle. She was a real ham for the camera tonight, I couldn't resist snapping a few photos of her. These will definitely be used in her etiquette courses before her first dinner date sometime around the age of 30 years old... maybe 40 if Doug has a say so in the matter.

Family Fun Night...

Our little princess is settled in for Cinderella

He has reached his limit! This look is begging Doug and I to have another child so someone else can suffer instead of the loyal family dog.

Coloring and dress-up with big brother Tucker. Addie is so entertaining and imaginative. When she's not throwing a temper tantrum, she is quite entertaining... even though her fits do make me laugh sometimes, it only fuels her fire and that makes her more mad!

Zoo Boo 2008...

Arrr Mates... it be Halloween time at the Indy zoo!

Hey kids... over here! They're givin' out candy!
Thursday evening we met up with the Raneks at the zoo. We had a great time walking around enjoying all of the wildlife running around... the animals were entertaining too. We ran into Julie and her kiddos as well as the Rabadi family. Believe me, everyone and their brother were at the zoo last night! We ended the night enjoying a great dinner at Buca's. Nothing like family portions of fantastic Italian food and wine to wind down. My only regret was not ordering the tiramisu for dessert.. I literally craved it until 11:00 last night!

Junk Food Junky...

What can we say... it's in her DNA!

BIG Surprise!!!

Last weekend, Uncle Jesse called Nana and Grampy and asked them if they minded if Gracie Jane came to visit, while he was a guest speaker at an art convention in Indianapolis... uhm let me think about that for a second! We were sooo excited for my cousin to come and visit, we could hardly stand it. I'm pretty sure my mommy is part swine, because she is a total baby hog! I tried to warn Gracie, but it was too late... I don't think she minded it though. As you can see from the pictures above, she is all smiles!

Happy Birthday Amber!!!

Story time with Uncle Gordie
Fallyn cooks up a yummy birthday dinner for mommy
Could you ask for two cuter guys? I think not!
Thursday evening we had the Raneks over for dinner to celebrate Amber's "25" birthday. The guys golfed during afternoon, the kiddos played and we got the chance to catch up. Good times!

Grampy's Punkin'...

Grampy bought me a pumpkin for carving. I had so much fun watching him work his magic during this annual holiday tradition. I helped him with the icky-sticky seeds.

Here Grampy, make it look like this Jack-0-Lantern!

Sunday Outting...

Sunday we ventured to Bridgeton for the Covered Bridge Festival. Lots of shopping, good eats and people watching. It was a beautiful day to enjoy this fall festival.

Miss Sophie...

After the hog roast we headed in town to visit with Auntie GiGi, Lisa and Sophie. Sophie got me an Aquadoddle and a very cool "touchdown" Colts balloon! Mama loves getting to see everyone and visit when she is in town... even when I'm not on my best behavior, sorry about that. What can I say, I'm riding the excuse "I'm 2 years old" as long as I can!!!

A Turkey Tale...

Leif and his 5 mos old turkey, Turk
Turk is very friendly
Folks, I can't make this kind of stuff up! Only in Terre Haute at a Newton family function, would someone dream of bringing their pet turkey along! Most of us bring our dogs to the hog roast, but this year we had a turkey show up... and a very well mannered one at that. Turk made sure to mind his P's & Q's so he wouldn't end up as next year's "Mystery Meat."

All the Festivities...

The petting zoo, Pig-ata and hayrides... oh boy!

When Piggies Fly...

Addie and Demi had a good old time bouncing and flying in the Jolly Jump at the 17th Annual Newton Family Hog Roast.

A Spook-tacular Weekend...

I arrived at Nana and Grampy's house this weekend, only to be surrounded by little goblin goodies galore! I have my own light-up pumpkin, a witches hat and holiday pop up books. Nana even decorated the window with a friendly ghost... BOO! As you can tell from the video, I rather enjoyed all of the fan-fare this weekend!

Someone must have cast a dancing spell on this little witch!

Busy, Busy Weekend...

We started off our weekend relaxing and laughing with the Fasick family. Debbie invited us over for a wonderful steak dinner and to hang out. We had such a good time! Saturday, Doug and I cooked up a storm. We were in the kitchen literally all morning and afternoon preparing different dishes for the weekend and making all the final preparations for our entry in the neighborhood chili cook-off. Our Kitchen-Aid mixer got a serious workout! We had a great time Saturday evening meeting some new faces and watching Addie play with all of the kiddos. Sunday Addie and I headed to church and Doug and Tucker took care of some things at the Timberstone spec house... our home had a morning showing. (By the way, I am soooo ready for one or both of these houses to sell!!!) Sunday afternoon finally brought a Colt's win so we celebrated family style... trip to the playground, home to the sand box, Doug made dinner and a bubble bath before bedtime. I am taking a deep breath, grabbing my pj's and cracking open my latest book. Night folks!
