Fancy Face...

Picnic at the Park...

We rode the carousel...
Packed a picnic lunch for two...

Did some exploring on the playground...
And went on a nature hike...
Tuesday was an absolutely gorgeous Indiana summer day... warm, but not hot, sunny with a slight breeze. Addie and I weighed our options this morning and decided that we would spend some quality time at Forest Park this afternoon. We had a great time and just enjoyed being outside on a very comfortable summer day!

Happy Birthday Nana!

Friday we spent the day celebrating Nana! She was in hog heaven with all of her babies at home. We enjoyed a dinner out and ice cream cake at home that evening. Next year is the BIG 6-0... let the party planning begin!

20 Week Ultrasound...

I liked this photo the best because I feel like the baby is laughing... a sense of humor is essential in this household!

Here is a live video feed of the heartbeat, which was 146. The baby's heartbeat has consistently stayed between 145-155. It's always such a beautiful blessing to hear that pitter-patter come across the audio waves.

For those of you wondering, we did not find out the sex of the baby today. You will have to wait a couple more weeks for that big announcement. In case you don't know this fact, I LOVE SURPRISES! I think as a mother the greatest surprise is finding out the sex of the baby the moment they are placed in your arms at birth. However, I have married a man who is a planner by nature and can't stand the wait of 9 loooooong months... it's pure torture for him! I have made a compromise (I'll admit a little more willing this time around) with Doug that I would give him this surprise for our anniversary gift later this summer on July 14th. The results are sealed in an envelope and hidden away from him. Stay tuned!!!

Victory Field...

Do you remember the late 80's commercial that had a man holding an egg over a hot skillet and he declared, "This is drugs. This is your brain on drugs. Any questions?" Well this is the equivalent of a 3 year old on a sugar high... not pretty folks, not pretty at all!

The Shake-It Sugar High Dance...

Show Me How Bad You Want It!!!
Three pictures from Addie's portfolio...
As a recreational photographer she prefers landscapes to portraits.
Monday turned out to be a gorgeous evening to take in a ball game at Victory Field!

Horsing Around...

Saddling Up
Set and Ready to Ride
Holding the reins like a professional
Back Straight... Sitting Pretty
Making Tommy Beautiful
Pony? I don't think so!
Good boy Tommy, here's some carrots for you!

Friday afternoon, we visited Emily at the barn. Addie had been looking forward to riding a "real" horse all week! I was sooo proud of her. We started off with a little bit of bad luck. Tommy the horse is a fan of carrots and peppermints... who knew!?! Addie was very eager to share her candy with her new friend, but Tommy was a little bit more eager and bit Addie's pinkie finger. She was balling! We had to ice her finger because it started to swell and bruise, but within minutes she was calmed down and ready to ride... no hurt feelings, just a bruised ego. Emily did any amazing job explaining everything to Addie and made our afternoon adventure a true highlight of our week. Addie is still talking about riding Tommy and meeting all of the other horses at the barn! Thanks Emily!

Kristin's Bachelorette Weekend...

Kristin & Lauri
The Gals
SCIS Teaching Crew... Amy, Angie, Lauri & Kristin

Last weekend we headed up to Chicago in celebration of Kristin's Bachelorette Party. We stayed at the Hilton, had dinner at Epic and caught a show at the Baton Club. We had a great time, but after a couple of club hops, "pregers" called it a night! Kristin was a ROCK STAR sporting her electric blue wig, but when your are a gorgeous lady, you can pull any fashion accessory off!

Two Guys and a Van...

Doug flew down to Savannah to help Jesse pack up what items were remaining before their big move overseas. Mom and Dad have graciously granted them the 2nd floor of their home for when they make their pilgrimage stateside each year for several months. Can you tell a woman wasn't present when the packing of the moving van was under way? I think the tactic used by these two geniuses was pack, stack and crack... open a beer!

Beach Bums...

We had some absolutely gorgeous days on our trip to the cabin. It was so awesome to spend the day outside with all of the kids, playing on the beach, ATV rides, running around and swimming in the hot tub. It was the first time we've had all of the cousins together at the cabin and Addie was in heaven! She pretty much thinks her cousins are rock stars!
