Anne and Lane were married in Washington DC. (For those of you who don't know, Anne is my cousin.) The ceremony may have been one of the most adorable wedding celebrations I have ever attended. Everything had such a personal touch from the readings, to the desserts and music selections. They were married by Hon. Allegra, the federal judge they were clerks with, when they met each other.

choreographed a dance routine for their first dance that ended with a guitar
rendition that Jimmy Hendrix would have been impressed with. Needless to say, they ROCKED!!! Both newlyweds were red-faced during the best man and maid of honor speeches that included slide-shows with very embarrassing childhood pictures. We were all in
stitches with tears in our eyes from laughing so hard.
The wedding and reception took place in a gorgeous
historical building, The Washington Club.
We had a great time with all of the Newton family. The highlight of the night was getting Grandma Newton out on the dance floor to shake it to
Beyonce.
The send off at the end of the night included noise makers on the city streets (This is such an Anne thing.) The happy couple is off to Thailand for their honeymoon. Congratulations Anne & Lane!
