No amount of heckling towards Bryan Bottarelli, the lone Bears fan of the bunch, during our pre-game festivities could have prepared us for the disappointing outcome for the Colt's season opening game. Doug and I had fun all the same. The roof was open and it was a gorgeous night. We met up with friends throughout the game and enjoyed making some friendly rivalries with neighboring Chicago fans. All in all, we were very gracious losers!

I try to mimic her comedy act when I watch her videos... silly little monkey! My cousin Gracie is a little tyke with a lot on her mind and she isn't afraid to express herself! No one over 3 years of age can understand her, but I can clear as day. She's saying, "Word Up Cuz! Tell your mom to bring you down south and hang at my crib."

Saturday we headed to Bedford to visit with GiGi Tovey. She took us to lunch and we went shopping. I napped and played at her house afterwards. I woke up in quite an entertaining mood and wanted to show off all of my good tricks... singing, dancing, yoga, wrestling and somersaults! I think she was pretty impressed, if I do say so myself.

Apple of Our Eye...

During our trip to Bedford, we had a girls afternoon out, visiting local establishments. One stop was to Apple Acres, just on the out skirts of town. GrMa & GrPa Tovey used to take us here as kids when we would spend weekends with them. Addie enjoyed finding apples, but not the camera in her face. Mom and GiGi Tovey saw first hand how hard her mommy works to get "blog-worthy" pictures. Addie was a good little helper though, pushing the cart around with GiGi in the general store.

Welcome Baby Shaver!

Doug received this email from his mom and dad earlier today:

We just received news that Julie had a baby girl, Natalie Erin. She weighed in at 7lbs 2 oz. and is 21 inches long. According to Mike, it was an easy delivery. Julie and the baby are just fine. When Mike informed Zach (5 yrs.) that he had a baby sister, he replied "Oh Man". When Bria (3 yrs.) was informed she replied "Why?"

We are so happy for Julie & Mike and can't wait to love our newest niece!

Today Addie and I headed to the baby consignment store to sell a bundle of baby clothes and an assortment of items. Lo and behold, they had all of their Halloween costumes out. We had time to kill so we started looking through all of them. We came a across Fun-Shine Bear and Addie went bonkers... dancing and clapping. Well of course we had to try it on right then and there. I couldn't stop laughing! She walked around the store wearing her new outfit until it was time to make our final purchase. I didn't figure I would have her wear a full-body, yellow furred get-up outside in 92 degree heat! But she couldn't wait to put it back on and show her daddy this evening when he got home.

This would not be my first choice of Halloween attire for her, but I can't help but LOVE the fact that she picked her outfit out all on her own. She is so excited about being a Care Bear! More power to ya woman...CARE BEARS STARE!

Public Apology...

I, Addison Leigh Reusser, am a biter. That makes me a very naughty girl. I have been very, very good in recent months with no incidents, however, today I fell off the wagon. I was just trying to spread some love and "kissed" my friend Emily Warner. Some people kiss with teeth, right? No? I guess I'll have to practice my kissing techniques before I hit my teenage years. My mother is extremely disappointed in my behavior. Many apologies to the Warner family for my nasty behavior... I am sorry.

Today we broke out the play dough and some accessories... rolling pin, cookie cutters. After one quick lesson of how to smash, roll and press, Little Miss sat and played for 30+ minutes!!! Thank you Sarah, Alex & Libby for a REALLY fun birthday gift!

Saturday evening we ventured downtown to the Lucas Oil Stadium to watch the HSE Royals season opening football game verses the Avon Oriels. It was a great game with lots of people watching to be had. We ran into bunches of teachers, friends, students and parents... everybody and their brother was there! Miss Blythe's daddy is a coach so we went together with Emily to support him and his boys in blue. (Matt, we LOVED the HSE Royals onesie by the way! Got any of those in a 2T?) I stayed up way past my bedtime, shouting "touch down" and throwing poor Care Bear to the ground each time. I think I might have a future in football according to the workout I gave my mother during the game!

Addie sure does like her accessories! I mean, who doesn't need their purse, cell phone, keys and tiara for morning session of arts and crafts? I love that she wears her sunglasses upside-down!

Don't know if you can tell what is going on here, but I nearly peed my pants laughing when Addie came running into the kitchen this afternoon! I grabbed the camera as she made another lap around the house. Addie's attire includes sturdy white athletic shoes, violet socks, big girl Elmo panties (no actual pants), tie-dye tank top, princess purse, monkey necklace, sunglasses and not 1 but 2 hair accessories! Don't anyone call CPS for fashion neglect, I'd never actually let her out of the house looking like this!

A Day Fit for a Princess...

We had a wonderful family day... full of good conversation, laughs, hugs and snuggle bug time. We started off with the Lucas Oil Stadium tour and went to lunch afterwards. Addie and I took a nap together before we headed to church this evening. Tonight, Addie and I snuggled up and watched Cinderella for the first time. She was so excited... she giggled and laughed at all the mice and birds throughout the movie. I was pretty impressed that all the songs came flooding back to me from my childhood, as I sang along with Cindy. To top our royal night off, we nibbled on a Koo-Koo for Coconut cupcake from the Flying Cupcake Bakery in Broadripple... D-VINE!!!

The Grand Opening...

This morning we attended the grand opening of

Lucas Oil Stadium with 20, 000 of our closest friends.

We enjoyed our Saturday morning at the Grand Opening of the Lucas Oil Stadium, Home of the Indianapolis Colts. In moving around with 20, 000 other folks, we ran into the Warners, the Grays and a couple of students from school. The stadium is very impressive! We can't wait for the season to kick off... GO COLTS!!!

Booty Call...

Tuesday evening, mommy and daddy took me shoe shopping. Dad saw these at Stride Rite and added them to my order, because he thought they were stinkin' cute! Mommy and I were very impressed with his impulsive shoe purchase... I think we are starting to rub off on him!

Last Day of Summer...

Today Emily, Claire and Hayden came over to play with me. We swam, giggled and splashed all morning. Tomorrow my mommy has to go back to school... boo! I have a feeling she is going to miss me very much. I got an abundance of hugs and kisses today! We didn't go anywhere, no errands, no appointments. We were silly girls and played all day long... FUN!!!
