Family Fun...

Tonight after church, we went to Shapiro's for dinner. The main reason we even walk through the deli doors is for their coconut-cream pie. Tonight Little Miss was introduced to our favorite dessert!
Ohh, this looks yummy!

I think I will lick this yummy dessert... who needs a fork!

Nana, thank you for coming to visit and for taking us out to dinner.
Love you Nana!

Silverware is sooo over-rated!

Gearing Up for the Holidays...

Mother has resorted to decorating homemade ornaments, instead of cookies this holiday season. Betty Crocker wasn't too successful with her first batch of spritz cookies this year!

That's more like it mom... chocolate-chip

cookies from Paradise Cafe!

I visited the Big Guy on Saturday.

When he asked me what I wanted for Christmas

I replied, "Wanted presents, Santa Ho, Ho."

Addison Homes, Inc.

Last January, Doug and I started our own custom home building business, Addison Homes Inc. Everyone looked at us like we were the crazy people throwing away our money and time. (You can't really blame them, considering our country's current economic status and the poor housing industry.) Faithfully, we held hands, said our prayers, and jumped in fully committed to make this company work. Doug finalized plans, and we signed our life away to the mortgage company and broke ground on the spec home in February. It has been fun making weekly visits as a family to see what was completed and added as construction progressed. The only question I ever had was, when can we move in? The house is "B"-"U"-"T"-"Full".

I guess I wasn't the only one who thought so, because a family bought it this morning! I am on such a high right now, I'm beside myself! I feel like I have ADD and can't get anything accomplished!

I am so very proud of my husband for his talents and for his dedication to his family. Thank you to all of our friends and family who have supported us this year, cheered us on and kept us in your thoughts and prayers.

In addition to selling the spec home, earlier this week Doug signed another client to build for... they want to build his spec home again. I feel like that is a pretty big compliment to his finished work and craftsmanship!

You better believe that I am counting my blessings and thanking the Lord for everything we are receiving!

Hey Kids...

Every wonder what your teachers and parents do on the weekends or after you go to bed... D-D-R! That's right, we have Dance, Dance Revolution competitions! We rock out to X-Box Rock Band and pretend we are Bon Jovi and Cheryl Crowe. We are ROCK STARS with wicked dance moves! Saturday night we hosted the Sand Creek Intermediate faculty holiday party and had a really good time with everyone. The only lingering question of the night is... Did Mrs. Kingsley (aka Brittney Spears)crash the FCI faculty party on her way home?

Meet My New BFF, Annabelle...

Isn't she B-U-T-ful!
I love, love, love her!

Annabelle was just born yesterday and already, she has been shopping, out to lunch, gone to church and even rides in the car with a seat belt on (at my request). She likes for me to fix her food and listen to stories with me when mommy reads. My BFF even sleeps with me! I love you Annabelle!

First Shopping Stop...

Build A Bear!

First step, pick out the cutest bear on the block... pink with hearts of course! Then make a wish on a heart and ask the kind lady to stuff your bear until she is squeezable, hug-able soft!

Next phase, give your bear a bubble bath. Then you get to shop for clothes for your bear. Of course, Cassie and I picked out a sparkly princess tutu and ballet slippers!
Final phase name your bear and print her birth certificate!

Spoiled Rotten...

Princess Table & Chairs... LOVE THEM!
What's in here?
The princess goodies just keep coming!
Debbie and Cassie came over Saturday morning for our annual Christmas neighbor celebration. This year we decided to have a girls' day out full of shopping and lunch. Miss Debbie got me hooked on Disney Princesses at a very early age and it quickly has grown into an obsession... my mother would like to thank you for that Deborah! I just adore Cassie and Alexis, as they are the best babysitters any kid could ask for! I know that my mommy and daddy think the world of Bob and Debbie, with everything they do for our family.

A Work in Progress...

Here are some of the new additions to Addie's room. She now is the official resident occupying the east "wing"of the upstairs. Her bedroom and playroom are attached through a jack-n-jill bathroom. The above pictures make her room look like it is 3ft x 6 ft, but she still has room for her hope chest full of princess dress-up clothes and accessories, so in her eyes all is good. Since our house is still on the market, we decided not to go all out with painting, etc. until we are in our new home. Addie was excited to see all of the birdy's on her Penelope bed sheet though. She climbed into bed tonight saying "cheep, cheep."

Mary Lou Reusser...

Tonight was my first mommy & me gymnastics class and boy did I have a blast! I was feeling pretty confident in my new purple leotard so of course I was a natural on my floor routine and the rings. Mr. Troy, my instructor, was really funny during warm-ups and stretches and he had fun activities and stations for all of us to enjoy. We got stamps on our hands and feet for good performance and effort. I think mom had a pretty good time too! Thank you GrMa & GrPa Reusser for my Christmas gift... you get a gold medal for this one!

Disclaimer...

We have played all night long, so NO work was accomplished on Addie's room today. (If that makes me guilty of being a fun mommy, than go ahead a sue me!) I'm not feeling 100% and Doug had a baseball meeting tonight. You'll just have to get by with the new pictures and video posted until later this week! I know it's been awhile... ENJOY!!!

Make Pretend...

Night-Night Baby... Mama Loves You!
Some fruit for you Mr. Monkey
Cookies for Cookie

Check It Out Uncle Jesse...

Do I have mad skills or what? Color inside the lines... what lines?

I personally think stickers add a lot to the overall masterpiece.

Calling All Friends... Calling All Friends...

All playroom artwork are original designs by yours truly.
(Addie Leigh 2008)

Come and knock on my door, I'll be waiting for you to come play with me in my new playroom. I was beside myself checking out everything last night... mom and dad seemed really pleased! As if I wouldn't enjoy all of this! I can see why Santa had to come a little early. I'm not sure all of this new loot would fit in his sleigh!

New Bedrooms...

This is Addie's old bedroom/nursery.
It is now the guest bedroom and bathroom.

I figured while I was updating all of the other bedrooms,

I would get us a new bed set also!
