A Family Outting...

We spent our morning on Tybee Island. Daddy treated us to breakfast at The Breakfast Club. It is the place to be seen on the island, if you're anyone at all. The owner is a die-hard Chicago Cubs fan and JFK Jr used to order out from there. The "Grill Cleaner" got two thumbs up from the Reusser Klan. We walked the beach and tide pools after breakfast.
We headed back in to Savannah and walked River Street. We visited one of Uncle Jesse's art galleries and mom did some shopping, of course!
We decided that breakfast out wasn't enough, we wanted lunch too! We ate at the world-famous The Lady & Sons. It is owned by Miss Paula Dean, she is one of GiGi Newton and GiGi Tovey's favorites! They just go on and on about her. I will have to admit that it was some gooood home-cookin' food. Mommy insisted on a picture!

Watch out Georgia, here we come!!!

Captain Reusser on her inaugural flight!
Karaoke with Uncle Jesse
Mindy, Mandy and Angie
My new boyfriend Matt... pint-size "buddies" aren't so bad!
Doug being... well, Doug
We arrived in Savannah on Saturday afternoon. Miss Addie got an A+ for flying. She slept the entire first flight and read books on the second flight. It was so good to see Jesse and Mandy and pat her little pooch. Mindy and Matt came over for an evening of good food, drinks and laughs. I have been dieing to get to Savannah for weeks and we were finally there!

Sweet Home Indiana...

We just arrived back home from Savannah tonight. I'm too tired and hungry to blog, hopefully I'll get some pictures posted later this weekend. Hope you all enjoyed your "Turkey Day" celebrations, we sure did! It feels so good to be home, but I already miss the warm weather and Mandy Kay... sniff, sniff. I can't stand her being pregnant and not being able to rub that belly anytime I want!

15 months old and "sliding" into my toddler years...

I love sliding down the slide!

I deserved a good time tonight. Last night I had to visit the doctor and get shots... BOO!!! Here's the skinny folks: Height 31 1/2 inches (75%), Weight 24.1 lbs (75%). My head measured in the 90th percentile... what can I say I'm good looking and smart!

Just for Jesse...

Hey Uncle Jesse. I'm starting to catch on to this coloring thing. I love crayons and mom tells me that drawing circles is developmentally advanced. What do you think? I can't wait to color with you next weekend! XOXO - "your favorite poop stain" Addie Leigh

Birthday Celebration #2...

Happy Birthday Uncle Timmy!
My mommy says she has some funny stories to tell me about my Uncle Tim and his love for pickles... but not until I'm much older. Any who, we love you Tim!

Daddy and his boys: Jim, Tim, Gordie and Brian

So my parents ditched me and the grandparents at home and hit the town for Tim's birthday. Watch out world... okay, okay, so they're not quite the ROCKSTARS they used to be, but they sure had a good time with everyone.

Birthday Celebration #1

Balloon hats for everyone! I took my Grampy to Benihana for his birthday... only the best for this guy! I tried his hat on and then got one of my own. If only I could figure how to get it on my little noggin.

Boo Zoo...

A train ride through the safari.
Talking to the animals
Hey mom, there's a scary guy about to get you!
Friday I told my mommy that I wanted to take my daddy to the zoo. Can you believe that he has NEVER been to the Indianapolis Zoo!?! It was a special day, Boo Zoo, where you get to dress up for Halloween. I went as a little witch, and I just thought my outfit was the neatest and greatest thing next disposable diapers. I loved all the animals at the petting zoo and all of the animals that live in the water, especially the penguins. I haven't got all of their names down yet, so I called them all "fish."

Fun, Fun, Fun With Friends...

Amy with Claire Bear
and with Emily
Super Kid Fallyn
Sarah and Libby
Bella, Addie and Emily gather round the good stuff... toys!
We have had so much fun this week, doing whatever we wanted. One of the many perks of teaching is that the career is so family friendly. A week off to relax and recuperate is just what this mama needed. Addie and I hosted the play date over fall break. It was so nice to get together with all of the gals for some play time.

And She's Off...

Addie has had no interest in walking... at all! She is perfectly content with crawling. The walker is on loan from Emily and Claire and has sat untouched for several weeks. Last night, Addie just stood right up and started walking laps around our house, with the assistance of the walker of course. This evening we caught her in action!

Quick Pics...

Having fun in my Mommy's vintage rocker at Nana and Grampy's house. They have a great window in their new kitchen that overlooks a garden and all of the bird feeders. I sat and rocked for a long while on Sunday afternoon, while mom and Nana prepared dinner.
My mom sure knows how to decorate for Halloween. She put these cool pictures on my big kitchen window, that I love to look at. Check out my new outfit... cute tights and tiny Crocs. What more does a girl need? Obviously something else, cause I'm waiting on my girlfriend Fallyn to come over and go shopping!

American Idol Audition Tape...

Watch out Kelly Clarkson and Carrie Underwood,

there's a new kid on the block.

Yo Dawg, you are raw talent baby!

Pardon the shaky cinematography, I was laughing so hard!

Happy Little Hog...

So much fun!
Party at my blanket!
Addie had so much fun playing with all of her little friends at the hog roast. We spent all afternoon and evening enjoying the company of friends and family. Addie had a grand time trying out the jolly jumper with mommy and feeding the goats with Nana. Grampy got his share of showing Miss Addie off, to all of his buddies.

Hello, My Name Is "Ima Stinka"...

Notice I am leaving homecoming with no clothes on...
I can hardly contain the giggles!

HAH!!!

After the trike race we all went to eat at Maurizio's. Mommy used to work there during college. The "zah" was so good. I loved every bit of it! Too bad my excitement for dinner, led to a blow out in my pants... party like a rock star!

ISU's Homecoming...

"Toddy-Bobby" warming up for the annual trike race.
Todd is my not-so-little, "little" cousin. He is a junior at ISU this year. I still sometimes think he should be in elementary school... time flies!

Addie makes her BIG debut on the campus of ISU... GO TREES!!!

We headed to TH Friday to cheer the ATO's on to victory during the annual homecoming trike race. They ended up placing 3rd, but it was still so much fun being back on campus and seeing all the homecoming festivities underway. I rode in 3 races during my college career for AOPi, and being at the race brought back a lot of great memories from college.

Rushing Home...

I rushed home each night from parent-teacher conferences last week, so I could read with, and put my little "cookie monster" to bed. The conferences went very well, but I am glad that I get 10 days in a row to play with my #1 girlfriend!

Vintage...

Sunny days, chasin' the clouds away... boy GrMa and GrPa Reusser sure have the coolest Sesame Street play set. Mom tells me it's a classic, because my daddy used to play with it. Kind of cool, huh!

I got to stay with them Saturday evening, while mom and dad went out for dinner and a movie. I also stayed with them Monday. Mom said there was no way she was sending me to daycare. I ran a fever and had the "cha-chas" all day Sunday. Cutting teeth isn't very glamorous!

When Mom is Away, Dad and Addie Will Play...

I can't believe it...I, Douglas Alan Reusser, finally got the "keys" to the blog and am posting something worth while. Tonight Angie is at a Zumba-Pilates class, so Addie and I are home alone. Angie asked if I wanted to go, but I have 18 of my closest friends in the fridge, and my favorite daughter crawling around, that was an easy decision. Anyways who would want to see me doing the "Lotus" I'm sure Scott, Tim and Gordie would love that!!! I'm sorry for rambling, I have 14 months of sarcasm to catch up on. Addie and I had tacos tonight for dinner (stop laughing). During dinner, looked over at my daughter and her face is covered in refried beans. (See Photo)

Anyways so much to talk about... Last time you guys checked in, I was on the "throne" doing my crossword puzzle, well I lost that contest. Thanks for all the support...it kind of puts things into "perspective." My wife just got home, I'll let her spell check this, so I don't give ISU a bad name! Talk to you later, I'm sure that it will be another 14 months.

The McKnight Gene...

"zaah" (translation: pizza)
I love it, I love it, I love it!

I can't shovel it in quick enough.

It's a known fact that my Uncle Mark is a pizza freak. He loves his pizza and so do I. I go bonkers every time it's served for dinner. I can't help myself, it's in my genes!

Uncle Mark is state-side on a much needed 2 week vacation from Iraq. We're pretty sure that Pizza Hut's telephone number on speed dial has been used several times during his visit home. Glad you were able to travel home safely to be with friends and family in Savannah and Hilton Head. WE LOVE YOU!!!

Halloween Humor...

Here Lies
Rick R. Mortis

Who's In Charge???

I am buddy, and don't you forget it!
Addie was playing "couch commando" in Grampy's chair this past weekend in Terre Haute. It ended up being her favorite place to be when watching cartoons.
